Registration is Live for our Farewell Virtual Run
It has been a labor of love for 15 years. The cost of maintaining this event with indoor facilities and maneuvering around ongoing city construction and growth was limiting what we were able to present as a gift to SafeHaven. We have kept true to advice my mother always lived by: leave them wanting more.
Let's go out in style and celebrate the Jiggle! Walk, run, skip, dance, and laugh out loud. It’s good for the soul!
It was started in 2006 by three friends who were out running and found $100.00 and decided to start a race for women. Its sole purpose is to promote fitness, well-being, and a healthy and positive attitude in women of all ages and abilities. Approximately 2,000 women participate each year. Proceeds go directly to SafeHaven of Tarrant County, and collection stations on Race Day collect much needed supplies for the Arlington and Fort Worth shelters.
Leah Brady is a teacher at Miller Elementary in Arlington and is co-chapter leader of an Arlington running club called "Arlington Moms Run This Town". This coming year will mark the group's fourth year to participate in the annual Jiggle Butt Run. "Our group and this run have a natural connection since it's a ladies-only event. It's an empowering and supportive environment, encourages staying in shape, and the fact that it supports SafeHaven is huge," Leah said.
Got2DreamBigg.org, a 501 (c)3 non-profit entity, was established in 2009 to organize, conduct, and manage charity event(s) that will benefit the local communities in which the events are held. The Got2DreamBigg.org mission is to promote fitness, well being, and a healthy lifestyle for women of all ages and abilities. Specifically, the Jiggle Butt Run is “run” by women for women. The race empowers women of all ages and fitness levels to start and sustain a healthy lifestyle while enjoying the support and camaraderie of other women.
